Kallix pricing, billing & ROI

Transparent answers about Kallix plans, per-minute pricing, what's included, contract terms, ROI benchmarks and how billing works for high-volume teams.

The 30-second answer · TL;DR

Kallix has three tiers (Starter at $499/month, Growth at $1,499/month, and Scale at $3,499/month) plus per-minute call rates. The plan covers setup, integrations, voice customization and unlimited dashboard seats. You can switch tiers monthly and there's no annual lock-in unless you negotiate one for a discount.

Direct answer
Three plans: Starter ($499/mo, inbound only, 1 agent, 500 minutes), Growth ($1,499/mo, inbound + outbound, 3 agents, 2,000 minutes, CRM integrations) and Scale ($3,499/mo, unlimited agents, 7,500 minutes, dedicated success manager). Enterprise is custom.

Every plan includes voice customization, the Kallix dashboard with unlimited seats, full transcript + recording storage, basic webhooks, and our standard SLAs. The differences are call volume, number of concurrent agents, integration depth and the level of human support attached to your account.

Most SMB customers start on Growth because integrations are where the leverage is: an agent that doesn't write to your CRM is half a product.

  • Starter: $499/mo, 1 agent, 500 mins, inbound only
  • Growth: $1,499/mo, 3 agents, 2,000 mins, inbound + outbound, CRM
  • Scale: $3,499/mo, unlimited agents, 7,500 mins, dedicated CSM
  • Enterprise: Custom, SSO, private deployment, custom SLAs

Yes. After your included minutes, calls cost $0.18 per minute for English and $0.22 per minute for non-English languages, billed in 6-second increments and shown live on your dashboard.

Per-minute pricing exists because the underlying telephony, speech-to-text and text-to-speech are all metered services. We pass that through at near-cost rather than padding it into the subscription. You always see the live rate, the running cost, and a projected monthly bill on the dashboard, with optional alerts at 50%, 80% and 100% of any cap you set.

  • $0.18/min English, $0.22/min non-English
  • 6-second billing increments
  • Live cost tracking and configurable spend caps
  • Volume discounts kick in above 25,000 minutes/month
Direct answer
Across our customer base the average is 3.2x ROI within 90 days, driven primarily by recovered missed-call leads and a 60–80% reduction in time-to-first-touch on inbound enquiries.

The ROI math is dominated by three levers. First, lead recovery: businesses miss 30–60% of inbound calls outside business hours and an AI agent that picks up in two rings recovers most of them. Second, speed-to-lead: Harvard research shows responding within 5 minutes makes a deal 9x more likely to convert vs 30 minutes. Third, rep displacement on low-value work: qualification, no-show reminders and FAQ calls don't need a human, freeing your reps to close.

We publish industry benchmarks per vertical (real estate, home services, retail) on each industry page so you can sanity-check your own numbers.

  • Average 3.2x ROI within 90 days across the customer base
  • Top driver: missed-call recovery (worth $3k–$40k/mo for most SMBs)
  • Secondary: speed-to-lead (sub-2-ring response 24/7)
  • Tertiary: rep displacement on repetitive qualification calls
Direct answer
No. The default Kallix subscription is month-to-month after a paid pilot. Annual contracts are available and unlock a 15% discount if you prefer to lock the rate.

We deliberately don't gate access behind multi-year commitments. If the product isn't earning its keep you should be able to leave. The only commitment we ask for is the pilot (typically $1,500–$3,000 depending on scope) which is credited toward your first month of production.

  • Month-to-month is the default
  • 15% discount for annual prepay
  • Pilot fee credited to month 1 if you continue
  • Data export (transcripts, recordings, CRM mappings) is included on cancellation
Direct answer
No hidden fees. The one-time onboarding fee is $999 for Starter / Growth and waived for Scale and Enterprise, and it covers voice setup, integrations, knowledge base ingestion and pilot.

Everything is itemised in the order form before you sign. The onboarding fee covers our team's time during weeks 1–4: voice selection, integration wiring, agent training, pilot calls and the cutover. After that you pay only the monthly subscription and per-minute usage.

The only true variable cost is per-minute usage, and that's shown live on the dashboard with caps you control.

  • $999 one-time onboarding (waived on Scale / Enterprise)
  • No charge for additional dashboard seats
  • No charge for storing transcripts or recordings
  • No surprise minute overages: caps and alerts are configurable

DIY platforms charge $0.08–$0.15 per minute on infrastructure but require an in-house engineer, a prompt specialist and an integrations team; total loaded cost is typically 3–5x higher than Kallix once you account for headcount, maintenance and opportunity cost.

This is the most common question from technical buyers. Vapi, Bland and similar are excellent infrastructure layers. We use components of that stack ourselves. The catch is that getting from infrastructure to a production agent that actually closes business takes 2–4 months of engineering work and ongoing tuning. For most SMB and mid-market teams, the math doesn't work.

We publish a transparent side-by-side breakdown including hidden costs (engineer salary, ops time, telephony contracts) on request.

  • DIY infra cost looks cheap per minute, but total cost-of-ownership rarely is
  • Kallix bundles infrastructure, custom build and ongoing tuning
  • Faster time-to-value: 2–4 weeks vs 2–4 months
  • Enterprise customers can self-host on their own cloud for compliance
People also ask
  • Starter ($499/mo), Growth ($1,499/mo) and Scale ($3,499/mo), plus Enterprise custom. Plans differ by minutes, agent count, inbound/outbound and integration depth; all include dashboard seats, recordings and standard SLAs.

  • Yes. Included minutes are bundled per tier; overage is billed per minute at published rates (typically $0.08–$0.14/min depending on plan and region). Inbound and outbound may differ; we quote your blended rate before contract.

  • Outbound sales teams often see 3–8× ROI within 90 days when replacing manual SDR dial time. Support teams report 40–60% cost-per-ticket reduction on tier-1 calls. We model your ROI in the discovery call using your funnel numbers.

  • No, monthly plans can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. Annual prepay earns 15–20% discount but is optional. Pilots are separate short engagements credited toward month one if you continue.

  • Onboarding (integrations, voice, training) is a one-time fee quoted upfront (typically $2k–$8k depending on complexity). No surprise per-seat CRM fees, no charge for dashboard users or transcript storage within fair-use limits.

  • DIY stacks look cheaper on paper until you add engineering time, telephony, QA tooling and ongoing prompt work. Most teams spend 2–4× the Kallix all-in fee in hidden labour. Kallix bundles build, operate and iterate into one line item.
